view description

Bailey Lewis were appointed by the Vintners’ Company for the refurbishment and alteration of the Entrance Area to Vintners’ Hall, the wine & spirit livery company.
Vintners’ Hall is a registered ancient monument and special consents were required from the Department of Culture Media and Sport for the refurbishment and alterations to cloakroom areas, the historic entrance and for repairs to the original 17th century staircase.

“Bailey Lewis undertook a major refurbishment of the reception and cloakrooms of Vintners’ Hall. This was to improve the facilities to enable the Hall to be used for increased commercial use. The project needed to combine functionality, staying within the confines of a listed heritage building. The two pictures show how you move from the reception area leading into a 17th century staircase.
The project was a tremendous success on time and budget and has stood the test of time. It was a great pleasure working with Diana and Mike who understand the requirement and at all times were sympathetic to the historic nature of the Hall.”
